for families
We understand that navigating the complexities of substance use can be incredibly challenging for family and friends. Our support groups provide a safe haven for those who have loved ones dealing with these struggles. Led by compassionate family members who have lived experience, these groups offer a space to share your feelings, fears, and hopes.
Remember, you are not alone. We are here for you, and together, we can find strength and healing.

evidence-based model
Studies indicate that group settings foster connection, sharing, and collective learning. Our groups, guided by family peer coaches, meet weekly to exchange experiences and participate in skill-based learning. Grounded in the evidence-based CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) model, this approach effectively enhances relationships between family members and their loved ones dealing with substance use disorders.
“Every time someone leaves a meeting, I can see that people feel like their load is lighter.”
Jan Lovett
Our classes run weekly for 90 minutes over a 12-week cycle and we invite anyone to attend for free at any time. Each group is led by a USARA certified CRAFT Facilitator with lived experience. As family members, we have discussions with others who are going through similar experiences. We have seen the power of families re-connecting with each other, while each person through this process finds positive benefits in their own lives.
Family members engage in skills-based learning topics including:
Communication Skills
Self-care
Safety & Problem-solving
Goal Setting

national family support resources
Partnership to End Addiction
Partnership to End Addiction is committed to finding, promoting, and enacting the necessary solutions to end America’s deadly addiction crisis. They strive to provide families, employers, medical leaders, and passionate individuals with the tools they need to succeed and to remove the stigma of addiction, replacing shame and despair with hope and compassion.
The National Association for Children of Addiction
NACoA provides resources nation wide for children of parents who have a substance use disorder, their relatives, and friends. Their mission is to eliminate the adverse impact of alcohol and drug use on children and families. They envision a world in which no child who struggles because of family addiction will be left unsupported.
Peer Recovery Coaches help individuals craft their own recovery path and assist with the process, addressing challenges and barriers you may face when it comes to navigating the complexities of a healthcare system.
We build collaborative partnerships to destigmatize substance use, remove barriers that negatively impact people in the recovery community, and promote legislation that creates positive change to improve the lives of Utahns.
