Kaylee is an addict fighting back. If it wasn’t for community, she could have never found recovery. Addiction is personal for Kaylee because it’s affected everyone she loves. She lost her father to addiction, and many family and friends followed after that.
Kaylee is a birth mother to a set of twin girls, and has built a relationship with their adoptive parents—who trust her enough to know them. In 2018, she lost my twin sons, Kai and Krew. Despite all the odds stacked against her, she chose to stay.
Kaylee has been a part of numerous organizations, surrounded herself with people she wanted to be like, and had the chance to serve those less fortunate—because she knows what it’s like to face homelessness and incarceration.
Service is the foundation of Kaylee’s recovery. Through being of service, she has been able to help guide others to the resources they desperately need.
