Matthew is a Family Support Facilitator who leads both online and in-person groups for individuals impacted by a loved one’s substance use. His work is deeply rooted in lived experience, having supported a family member through the challenges of addiction.
Matthew identifies as being in recovery himself and brings authenticity, empathy, and hope to every group he facilitates. He often reminds CRAFT participants that “addiction is a family disease,” emphasizing that healing extends beyond the individual to the entire family system.
In January 2023, Matthew made the life-changing decision to step into the CRAFT program — a choice that strengthened his path of recovery and service — and he hasn’t looked back since.
