Jonathan is a person in long term recovery. What that means to him today is presenting himself in every relationship with the most love, compassion, and truth he has to offer. Jonathan spent 23 years in a revolving cycle of hate, destruction, and addiction that led to prison, overdoses, and homelessness.

While he did not think there was hope for him, through peer mentoring he discovered The Other Side Academy. Through a rigorous process of change over four years, Jonathan learned to not only love himself but to love others around him. Being a peer in long term recovery means showing up and being a good example to people around him.

Moving forward in his recovery; things that he enjoys doing that keep him loving life are jogging, skateboarding, crafting necklaces and gnome gardening. Aside from his hobbies, Jonathan enjoys volunteering with non profit organizations that are dedicated to helping others strive for success and self reliance.
